She was the inaugural winner of Linfield's Female Athlete of the Year award in 1989 and graduated with highest honors and a 3.84 grade-point average in psychology.

Prevedello started competing in track and field in the second grade and was recruited to Linfield out of Sandy High by coach Rudy Pearson, who remains a mentor and friend to this day and was best man at her wedding.

Prevedello resides in Eugene with her husband, John, whom she met on the Linfield track, and three children, girls ages 9 and 6, who already participate in track, and a son, 1. She and her husband, a 1988 Linfield graduate, own an advertising agency in Eugene.
