Ten track and field student-athletes named to CSC Academic All-District X Team

A total of 10 track and field student-athletes – five women and five men – have been singled out to represent Linfield University as part of the 2025 College Sports Communicators Division III Academic All-District X team, as announced Tuesday by the national association.

Named to the women's CSC Academic All-District X team from Linfield are heptathlete Kira Hawaaboo, javelin thrower Kieryann Mattson, sprinter Paige Kasso, sprinter Rachelle Silis, and hurdler/horizontal jumper Jordan Roberts.

The list of CSC Academic All-District X men's honorees from Linfield include high jumper Andrew Troeh, distance runners Conner Dooley and Alex Oathout, decathlete Durham Huson, and thrower Shyson Cachuela.

Hawaaboo, a junior exercise science major from Enumclaw, Washington, carries a 3.96 cumulative grade point average. This spring, in just her second season in the program, she set school records in both the long jump and the heptathlon, winning Northwest Conference titles in both events for the second straight season. Hawaaboo was accorded West Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year honors and qualified to compete in both the NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Championships.

Mattson, a sophomore from Selah, Washington, carries a 3.79 GPA while majoring in psychology. She placed 15th overall in the javelin at the NWC Championships in April.

Kasso, a sophomore from Los Altos, California, maintains a 3.67 cumulative GPA while majoring in digital art. She posted the ninth-fastest time in the 100-meter dash at the NWC Championships this spring.

Silis, a senior from McMinnville, Oregon, graduated last month with a degree in finance after maintaining a 3.65 GPA throughout her four years at Linfield. On the track, she placed fourth in the 400 meters and sixth in the 200 meters at the NWC Championships.

Roberts, a junior from Twin Falls, Idaho, carries a GPA of 3.57 while majoring in psychology. A member of the Linfield women's basketball team, Roberts placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles and 12th in the long jump at the NWC Championships.

Troeh, a junior from Aberdeen, Washington, placed eighth in the high jump at the NWC Championships. He maintains a 3.65 GPA in accounting.

Dooley, a physics and mathematics major from Anderson, California, graduated in May with a 3.65 GPA. A member of the cross country team in the fall as well, Dooley enjoyed his best season as a Wildcat this spring, placing fourth in the 800-meter run.

Like Dooley, Oathout doubled as a distance specialist as a member of both the cross country and track & field programs. The accounting major from Silverdale, Washington, graduated with a 3.57 GPA while placing sixth in the 5,000 meters and ninth in the 10,000 meters to cap his final season in a Linfield uniform.

Huson, a sophomore from Hillsboro, Oregon, placed seventh in the decathlon at the NWC Championships in his second season in the program. A chemistry major, Huson owns a 3.57 GPA.

Cachuela, a sophomore from Kapolei, Hawaii, placed 17th in the shot put and 19th in the discus at the NWC Championships. He carries a 3.64 GPA while majoring in management.

On the strength of her season accomplishments, Hawaaboo merits consideration for the prestigious CSC Academic All-America award. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 15.
