WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY?
I enjoyed Professor Romero's Finance class. While it was the only finance requirement for my major, if I was able to take any other classes with her I would. The style of teaching was exactly what works for me and I understood the topics perfectly!
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
I have tons of inspirational individuals in my life but the one who I will mention for this is my G-ma! Ever since I was born, she has always told me how as long as I give anything my all, regardless if I succeed or fail, it will be okay! She also comes to the greater majority of my sporting events to support not just me but my whole team!
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN?
The greatest principle I have learned is to never give up. It's one of those lessons that no one can really teach you, you just have to learn it yourself. Cross country and track and field really improve this principle. There have been many times where I wanted to just fall on the ground in the middle of a race and pass away. Now that I have suffered through so many races, I know what I am capable of, so now the only way I don't finish a race is if I have a heart attack (I would crawl if I broke a leg).
AS A LINFIELD-STUDENT ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE…
To be the best person you can on and off the track. No one wants to deal with individuals with poor attitudes. For me, if I have a bad race, I do my best to make sure my vibe stays the same for the rest of the day. One races doesn't change you, regardless of the importance. Of course, this goal only applies to Linfield students. If any other NWC athlete gets dusted by me in a race, they gonna be a bad attitude for the rest of the week ??.
