WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because the community seemed close and I really liked coach Haley. The campus is pretty and it has a small-town feel.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? It means I’m representing Linfield as both a student and an athlete, and I should strive to be great at both.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? I’ve been able to come out of my bubble and connect with more people than I thought I ever could. Sports have helped me build communication skills and develop my ability to work with groups.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? In 10 years, I hope to be earning my doctorate in physical therapy and work in a hospital to help patients recover.
WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY?
I enjoyed Advanced Assessment of Athletic Injuries with Emily Kosderka. She is a wonderful professor and taught useful information. She allowed the class to think critically and taught us how to use our resources to make informed decisions. It is a class I will remember for a long time and use the information I learned for the rest of my life.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My mom is my greatest inspiration. I have had some rough experiences in my life, and she has always been there to support me. She has troubles of her own, but she is always first to drop it and help me.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…
I have learned that everything happens for a reason and it's up to you to make the most of it. I've had my ups and downs but I received a lot of support from teammates and coaches. I never could have imagined myself as a track athlete but here I am and I would not change my decision if I had to make it again.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE…
Individually, I strive to improve, whether it is mentally or physically. As a team, working together and supporting one another is all that I hope for. A positive environment drastically improves the team's performance.
