McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Four Pacific players tallied double-digit points in a 70-46 win over Linfield on Friday night at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
Amelia Solt finished with a team-high 10 points.
Gillyan Landis tallied nine points paired with five rebounds.
Ella Koebelin added seven while
Eve Burke and
Janessa Yniguez chipped in six each. Linfield shot 36 percent on 42 attempts and knocked down 3-16 shots from behind the arc.
Lindsay Barden and Syndey Gray led the Boxers with 12 points each. Brilie Kovaloff and Rilee Price each finished with 11. Pacific (10-5, 6-1 NWC) shot 43 percent from the field on 58 shot attempts and made 3-14 threes. The Boxers outrebounded the 'Cats 39-31.
Despite six early turnovers, the Wildcats held a 13-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. Pacific responded with a 25-6 scoring run that lasted the entirety of the second quarter. The Boxers 80 percent shooting from the field propelled them to a 34-19 halftime lead. Landis led the Wildcats with seven points while Sydney Gray led the Boxers with eight points.
The Boxers extended their lead to 27 by the end of the third quarter. Pacific shot a blistering 71 percent in the period. Pacific held off any sort of a Linfield comeback as the visitors cruised to a comfortable victory.
