FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Following a week of respite from their regular class schedules, Linfield athletes returned to action Saturday at the Pacific Open at Pacific University's Hanson Stadium.
WOMEN
Newcomer
Analissa Paresa took top honors in the pole vault with a mark of 10 feet, 7½ inches.
Teslin Brannan was fifth with a personal record effort of 9-1¾.
Paige Kasso captured third place in the 100-meter dash, clocking 12.95 seconds. Kasso also turned in a fifth-place result in the 200 dash in 26.66, just ahead of teammate
Rachelle Silis, who was seventh in a season-best time of 26.76. Silis ran to a third-place showing in the 400 in 1:01.55.
Freshman Natalia Freimuth placed eighth in her specialty event, the 400 hurdles, in 1:10.78, and was 10th in the 100 hurdles with a personal-record time of 16.62.
In the field events,
Sophie Hulke tossed the hammer 125 feet, 6 inches to take fourth place while
Klaira Flatt secured seventh place (115-2) and Claire Moss was eighth (108-10).
Rylee McIntosh leapt to a personal record mark of 4-6¼ to take eighth place in the high jump. McIntosh also pocketed an eighth-place result in the triple jump with a mark of 29-10¼.
Eboni Zehner secured a season-best mark in the javelin with a throw of 108-8. Teammate
Kieryann Mattson was close behind in fifth place at 100-5.
MEN
Bradley Kiltow registered a season-best effort in the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:29.64.
Shyson Cachuela earned a fifth-place mark in the discus, tossing the projectile 115 feet, 6 inches. Cachuela also threw the shot 41-2¼ to claim sixth place.
Isaiah Rupp sailed 35-8½ in the triple jump to lock up eighth place.

Linfield's track team will be back in full force Saturday when the Wildcats host the Jenn Boyman Memorial meet at Maxwell Field. The first running events are slated to start at 9:30 a.m. followed by the first field events at 10 a.m.
