WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
The greatest inspiration of my life has been Jesus Christ. He has given me every lasting life in heaven by paying the debt in the cross for my sins that I didn’t deserve. He is forgiving, loving, peaceful, compassionate, caring, and is with me wherever I go. My life’s goal is to be like Jesus and be a light in this world. As well as my loving, giving, parents and coaches who have poured everything into me these last few years. I am forever grateful for them and all that they do.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? Being a Student-Athlete at Linfield University is a great honor that comes with a high level of respect and responsibility. Having the opportunity to further my education takes priority as a Student-Athlete. I strongly believe in pushing myself to be a successful student sets me up for being a successful athlete.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN...
The greatest principle or lesson that I have learned while competing at Linfield has been keeping God first in your life. What that means to me is focusing on his words, renewing your mind daily, loving, serving, and giving like Jesus did for your team and others around you. In order to be a good teammate I have to deny myself pick up my cross and follow Jesus. That is give everything I can for my wrestling partners, to push myself past my limit, and to focus on what I can control. I can’t always control the outcome but I can control my effort, attitude, care, and who I am as a person. The biggest battle has already been won on the cross, there is no need to fear what I can’t control. Just “let go, and let GOD.”
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY?
The best Linfield class I have taken has been has been Anatomy because of my amazing professor Daniel, and because it taught me true discipline through studying, time management, and putting in long hours of studying.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Participating in sports has made me a better person through sportsmanship, motivating my teammates, and staying positive through all the hardships that are brought my way. Developing good sportsmanship has made me rise as an athlete and person all in one. It has taught me to put others before myself, and fight for what is right even when it is difficult. Staying positive and motivating for not only myself but my teammates has pushed me to grow discipline and to rise the spirits, confidence, and souls of my teammates up with me.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? In 10 years, I see myself graduating from Linfield University and traveling around the world helping numerous people as a Travel Nurse.
