FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific's three double-digit scorers powered the Boxers to a 70-52 over Linfield at the Stoller Center on Saturday night.
Miki Vermeulen tallied an 11-point and 10-rebound double to lead the Wildcats in both categories.
Ella Koebelin also finished in double digits with 10 points while
Janessa Yniguez added nine. Linfield shot 34 percent from the field on 58 attempts and made 2-14 shots from behind the arc.
Taya McCallum and Brilie Kovaloff paced the Boxers with 11 points each. Rilee Price also finished in double digits with 10. Pacific (16-8, 12-4 NWC) shot 44 percent on 61 attempts and converted 5-18 three-point shots.
Yniguez's seven first-quarter points helped Linfield claw back from an early double-digit deficit.

Amelia Solt scored in the final few seconds to put the Wildcats ahead 19-18 at the end of the first quarter. The 'Cats scored four points in the second quarter as the Boxers pulled ahead 32-23 by halftime. Rilee Price led all scorers with eight points.
The Boxers extended slightly extended their lead by the end of the third quarter. Pacific outscored Linfield 21-17 in the third frame to hold a 53-40 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Wildcats came within seven of the Boxers with five and a half minutes remaining after back-to-back
Miki Vermeulen scores. Pacific's lead ballooned back up to well over double digits after a 13-3 run all but sealed the Boxers' win.
Linfield finished the season 11-14 overall and 6-10 in Northwest Conference play. The Wildcats were in the mix for an NWC post-season tournament birth heading into the final weeks of the season. The 'Cats return a strong core ahead of next season and look to content for a post-season spot.
