NEWBERG, Ore. – George Fox scored 12 straight goals in the second and third quarters to hand Linfield lacrosse a 19-6 loss Saturday afternoon at the Bruins' Austin Sports Complex. The loss snapped the Wildcats' six-match win streak.
George Fox scored six goals in each of the first three quarters while limiting Linfield to three goals in the first and fourth quarters each. The Bruins outshot the Wildcats 31-22 with 24 shots on goal while collecting 28 ground balls and 17 draw controls. Marena Tharpe and Carleigh DeLapp led all players with five goals apiece while Kyra Barnes dished out four assists.
Josie Duey led Linfield with two goals on four shots, all on goal.

Amelia Wright and
Abby Ross also registered goals for the 'Cats. Shade led the team with two assists while Ross picked up four ground balls and three caused turnovers. With three ground balls in the match, Shade is just two shy of the program record of 127 held by Rebecca Kropp (2012-15).
Ella Rand earned the win in goal for George Fox, making seven saves in 30 minutes.
Lizzy Harms took the loss for the 'Cats to fall to 7-3 on the season after making five saves. She has 55 saves on the year and owns a 12.02 goals against average.

The 'Cats (7-5, 3-4 NWC) will play at Pacific on April 16 before hosting Willamette on Senior Day on April 17. Both matches are scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
