LA VERNE, Calif - Linfield staged an incredible second-half comeback to secure its first victory of the season, defeating La Verne 93-76 on Monday afternoon in California. After trailing by four points at halftime, the Wildcats outscored the Leopards by 21 in the second period, led by a scorching performance from
Cade Collins.

Collins hit his stride in the second half, finishing the game with 26 points, including six three-pointers. His offensive explosion in the final period proved to be crucial in Linfield's comeback, as the Wildcats surged past La Verne after the break.

Linfield's defense also made key stops, limiting La Verne's opportunities and forcing turnovers. The Wildcats capitalized on their defensive efforts, with standout performances from several players.
Josh Ryan finished with 16 points and four rebounds, while
Zach Luz added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Cayden Lowenbach was also effective, contributing nine points, six rebounds, and dishing out six assists.

The Wildcats made adjustments after the first half, where they struggled to find a rhythm offensively. Linfield's shooting improved dramatically, especially from beyond the arc, as the 'Cats improved their field goal percentage from 39% to 46% between the two halves. Their free-throw shooting was also a bright spot, as they converted 23 of 25 attempts.

La Verne was led by Dahmaj Warren, who posted 20 points and 13 rebounds, but the Leopards couldn't hold off Linfield's relentless attack in the second half. The Wildcats' 56-point explosion in the final 20 minutes sealed the win.
