Men's Basketball Academic All-District 2025-26

Bennett, Johnson and Morrill earn CSC's Academic All-District team

| By:
Chase Bennett, Donovan Johnson and Logan Morrill recognized for academic and athletic excellence
Three senior Wildcat men's basketball student-athletes shined on the court as well as in the classroom this season, earning College Sports Communicators prestigious Academic All-District honor. Chase Bennett, Donovan Johnson and Logan Morrill each represented Linfield men's basketball student-athletes to make the team.

The award is given to a maximum of four student-athletes per team in sophomore standing or older, who maintain a 3.50 or greater cumulative grade point average while also competing in at least 90% of the team's games.

A native of Moraga, California, Bennett competed in 88 total games over the past four seasons as a Wildcat. Studying Finance with a 3.97 cumulative GPA, Bennett averaged 8.5 points per game in 2025-26, totaling over 600 for his career. Bennett earned his second consecutive Academic All-District honor after also earning the award last season.

Donovan Johnson boasts a 3.94 cumulative GPA, studying Applied Physics, while also competing in 24 games this season. The Antelope, California, native is a four-time letter winner for the Wildcats and has played in 70 games in the past four seasons.

"To me, being a student-athlete at Linfield means representing the school by setting a good example both on and off the court." Said Johnson.

From Astoria, Oregon, senior Logan Morrill also studies Applied Physics, maintaining over a 3.71 GPA over four years. He found his most prominent role in 2025-26, playing in 24 games, averaging 5.8 points per game.

When asked about how participating in sports has made him a better person, Morrill said: "It has made me work with others to complete a common goal. It has given me a great work ethic and motivation. Being a student athlete can be very difficult but if you push through, it can make life's other changes seem easier."

Men's basketball finished the season with a 10-14 overall record and 8-8 in the Northwest Conference, one game out of the postseason tournament in head coach Elijah Gurash's first year leading the program.
