PORTLAND, Ore. – Linfield traveled to Pamplin Sports Center in Portland to face Northwest Conference foe Lewis & Clark on Saturday evening. Gillyan Landis and Eve Burke both tallied double-doubles and guided the Wildcats to a 63-46 win over the Pioneers. The 'Cats earned their third consecutive win and best start in conference play since 2005-06.

Landis finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Burke had 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Miki Vermeulen also grabbed double-digit rebounds with 10 and chipped in seven points. The Wildcats finished 35 percent from the field on 65 shot attempts. Linfield's only blemish on the night was a 2-19 mark from behind the arc.

The Wildcats' defense stymied the Pioneers' offense as Lewis & Clark (1-3, 0-2 NWC) finished 27 percent from the field and finished 0-12 from three. Charlotte Carroll led all Pioneers scorers with 13 points. Lauryn Frederickson and Karli Mukai each finished with eight.

Landis accounted for half of Linfield's 18 first-quarter points. Landis' efforts lifted the Wildcats to a two-point advantage following the first period. Linfield continued to hold a lead going into halftime. Landis paced the 'Cats with 14 points while Kaylee Schow and Peyton Bergevin added five and four points respectively. The Wildcats and Pioneers both struggled shooting the three as both teams went 1-14 combined.
