McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield's four-game win streak was snapped by No. 12/19 Puget Sound, which led the entire game to claim a 76-44 win over the Wildcats Saturday night at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
Puget Sound outscored Linfield 42-16 in the paint and got 33 points from the bench. The nationally-ranked Loggers scored 34 points off 31 Wildcat turnovers. The UPS defense smothered the Wildcats with a full-court press, holding the home team under 10 points in both the first and third quarters.
The Wildcats shot 34.9 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from three-point range. Sophomore
Gillyan Landis was the team's only player to score in double figures, dropping 12 points on 4 of 8 from the field to go with five rebounds.

Elyse Waldal scored seven of the bench's 22 points, connecting on all three of her field goal attempts. She also came up with a pair of steals. Senior
Jordan Worthington scored four points in 18 minutes.
Jordyn Reverman led the Puget Sound charge on the offensive end with 15 points, connecting on 7 of 10 from the field and 1 of 2 from beyond the arc. Sophie Nilsson scored 11 points while Grace Pytynia-Hillier had 10. The Loggers (13-2, 6-0 NWC) were everywhere on the other end of the court, racking up 17 steals to remain unbeaten in NWC play.

Linfield (8-7, 4-2 NWC) ends the week in a three-way tie for second place with Pacific and Whitman. The 'Cats are back at home next week, hosting the Blues at 6 p.m. Friday and Whitworth at 4 p.m. Saturday.
