WHY LINFIELD? The science program at Linfield is really amazing and I know that I will get an exceptional education here. When I came to visit, I met the girls on the team and knew that I would have a really good time playing with them. I also have known Coach Casey for years so I was really excited for another opportunity to play for her.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means everything to me. I have been playing basketball for so long and put so much work into it that I couldn't imagine going to college and not playing. It is such a great honor to be able to continue my basketball career and I want to make the most of it.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I really like shoes and have over 60 pairs. I also like to play the drums, guitar, and piano.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I will be majoring in exercise science and plan on becoming a physical therapist or something related to that. Linfield is going to give me an amazing undergraduate experience that will put me well on my way to achieving my career goals. I have heard that the science classes are very difficult and that is good because it will better prepare me for what I am trying to do.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best class I have taken at Linfield was my INQS class, the Evolution of Hip Hop, which was so interesting and fun. The professor, Dmitri Kelly, made it a lot of fun. He played us an old hip hop song at the beginning of each class and most of us hadn't heard the songs before. He taught us the history of hip hop in a really fun way and I learned a lot.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME… Hanging out with friends, watching old NBA games or playing the guitar, piano or drums.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… The importance of everyone buying in. When every single player and coach is on the same page, it makes it so much easier to move forward on and off the court. This year, I could feel that everyone wanted the same thing and it made it easy for us to grow closer as a group.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career was when my teammate, Kory Oleson, reached the 1000-point mark. It came against Corban and we weren't expected to win, but we played extremely well and won by 18. It was amazing and it was a special moment when Kory got her 1000th point. I remember writing "1000" on a piece of paper with another teammate, Molly Danielson, and taking a picture with Kory after the game. The picture is something I savor. Kory is one of my good friends and I was just so happy for her. It was a great day.
