GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Linfield completed a Triple Crown of its own Thursday night as the Wildcats went 3-0 in Kentucky following a 12-7 win over Georgetown College at Toyota Stadium.
In a defensive effort for both squads, Linfield and Georgetown combined for 36 turnovers, 21 going against the Tigers. The Wildcats picked up 21 ground balls, seven of which came in a second quarter that saw the team fire off 12 shots and score four goals.
Linfield's
Maya Wright scored a match-high five goals on 10 shots, eight on goal. Three of her goals came in the second half.
Bethany Shade and
Amelia Wright each scored twice and dished out an assist. Shade led all players with eight ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

Josie Duey and
Abby Ross were the Wildcats' other goal scorers.
Georgetown registered 15 shots in the match. Seven of those shots came in the fourth quarter, but it was too late to make up ground.
The Tigers scored a pair of goals in the first, second and fourth quarters, and were limited to just one goal in the third period. Faith Boa led the Tiger attack with three goals and two assists. Mac Miller totaled two goals and an assist while Hannah Piquett and Maddie Brock each found the net once. Olivia Yakel finished with six ground balls while Harper Shelton caused four turnovers.
Yakel took the loss in goal for the Tigers after making 11 saves in 60 minutes.
Lizzy Harms picked up her fifth win of the season in goal. She also played the entire 60 minutes, making four saves.

The 'Cats (5-4, 1-3 NWC) return home from their Spring Break trip and enjoy a weekend off. They resume Northwest Conference play at home, hosting the Whits April 2-3 at the Linfield Lacrosse and Soccer Complex.
