TACOMA, Wash. – Linfield couldn't sweep the season series with Pacific Lutheran, losing in three sets to the Lutes Friday night at Olson Auditorium.
The Lutes won by scores of 25-14, 25-21 and 25-22 to avenge a five-set loss to the Wildcats on Sept. 23 in McMinnville. They racked up 57 points, 45 kills, eight aces, four blocks, 44 assists and 55 digs.
Hailey Iha led the PLU attack with 12 kills on a .800 hitting percentage. Baylee Johnson and Claire Hindman added six kills apiece. Liv Evaro tallied a match-high 41 assists while Halle Hetzler led all players with 21 digs.
The Wildcats tested the Lutes in the third set, putting up 11 kills on a .195 hitting percentage.
Raelynn Hammock led the team in kills with a match-high 13 on 38 attempts for a .237 hitting percentage. She also had five digs.
Kara Thomas contributed six kills and four digs.
Ellie Mead had three blocks while
Aylea Dixon dished out 23 assists.

The 'Cats (8-10, 4-7 NWC) won two of their last four matches. They will finish the week at home, hosting cross-county rival George Fox at 6 p.m. Saturday at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
