PACIFIC LUTHERAN AT A GLANCE
The Lutes played two five-set matches last week, taking down first-place Whitworth in Spokane before falling at Whitman. Elle Thomas' 2.93 kills per set rank eighth in the NWC while Hailey Iha is No. 6 with a .281 hitting percentage. Baylee Johnson is behind Thomas with 169 kills and 2.73 kills per set. Halle Hetzler leads the NWC with 378 digs, 6.1 per set. Olivia Evaro is up to 551 assists on the season.
GEORGE FOX AT A GLANCE
The Bruins lead the NWC with a .191 hitting percentage and rank third with 11.59 kills per set. The attack is led by Kassandra Staton's 196 kills and 2.97 kills per set, which rank seventh in the NWC. Bailey LeBreton isn't far behind, averaging 2.68 kills per set to go with a team-leading .298 hitting percentage among qualified players. LeBreton has also been a force at the net, entering the week in the NWC's top five with 62 blocks. Piper Harrop, one of five Bruins to appear in every set this season, is averaging 4.58 digs per set.
HISTORY
Linfield and Pacific Lutheran have met 56 times. The Lutes won 42 of those matches. The Wildcats picked up four wins in Tacoma in the all-time series, the most recent coming in a four-set victory in 2006. The 'Cats topped the Lutes in the first meeting of the season, winning 3-2 on Sept. 23 at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
Linfield is 23-34 in the all-time series with George Fox. The 'Cats own a winning record of 16-11 at home against their cross-county rivals. The Bruins took the first meeting of the year in four sets on Sept. 24 in Newberg. The 'Cats are looking for their first win over the Bruins since 2016.
