WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Linfield saw an opportunity in the second half and cashed in, going on the road to beat Whitman 1-0 Saturday afternoon at the Whitman Athletic Fields.
Sid Kosaris notched the game-winner in the 70
th minute with his team-leading fourth goal of the season. He caught the rebound after Whitman goalkeeper Lucas Haigh made a diving save and fired it into the net.
Kosaris came off the bench to contribute two shots in 60 minutes. The Wildcats were outshot 16-4 with two shots on goal, but the defense got the job done to secure the team's third win in Northwest Conference play. It was the program's first win over Whitman since 2016.

Henry Boudreaux picked up his third straight shutout in goal, making six saves to improve to 3-2-1 with a 1.54 goals against average.
With their third consecutive 1-0 victory, the 'Cats improved to 4-5-1 overall and sit alone in second place with a 3-1-1 NWC mark. Willamette tops the standings with a perfect 5-0-0 conference record (7-0-2 overall).
