Leroux's goal helps Linfield remain undefeated

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – A goal by Jill Leroux in the 12th minute aided the Linfield Wildcats to defeat the Pacific Boxers, 1-0 at the Linfield Soccer & Lacrosse Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Ā
Linfield remains undefeated with a record of 3-0-0 overall and in Northwest Conference play. The Boxers fall to 1-2-0 overall and in the NWC. Linfield has defeated Pacific each time in its last six meetings, that is the longest winning streak for the 'Cats over the Boxers all-time.

Leroux converted the first shot of the match for either team. Makenna Blix and Laney Green had assists on the goal that was fired in by Leroux. This was the first career goal for the freshman midfielder from Sherwood, Oregon.
Ā
Madi Reimer, another Sherwood native, made two saves in the match. The second save came with five minutes left in the second half. Reimer leaped to catch the shot from Pacific's Emily Wiltshire in mid-air. That was the best scoring opportunity for the Boxers.
