TACOMA, Wash. – The Linfield women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss at Pacific Lutheran as the Lutes scored four goals in the first half to down the Wildcats on Saturday afternoon at East Field.
Sophomore Lily Dose and freshman Julia Causbie both turned in two-goal performances in the shutout win over the Wildcats. Dose scored the opening goal in the fourth minute off an assist by junior Ellie Reardon. She followed with her second goal of the afternoon and her fourth of the season in the 10
th, assisted by junior Vera Panescu-Reich.
Causbie notched her first goal of the match in the 30
th minute off an assist by freshman Kayden Hulquist. She struck again just 44 seconds later, unassisted, for her fifth goal of the fall.
Pacific Lutheran outshot Linfield 13-3 with eight shots on goal. Ten of the Lutes' shots came in the first half. The 'Cats had one shot on goal, registered by junior midfielder
Izzy Chauls. Chauls finished with two shots in 44 minutes off the bench while sophomore defender
Ellie Friedrichsen had the team's other shot.

Erin Isbister split time in goal at 45 minutes apiece. Mulligan made four saves in the first half before Isbister entered the match after halftime.

Linfield fell to 3-10-2 overall and 2-8-1 in Northwest Conference play. The 'Cats can end the weekend in the win column as they host George Fox at noon on Sunday.
The Linfield women's soccer team is partnering with Zeta Tau Alpha sorority for Sunday's match, which will be a pink out dedicated to breast cancer education and awareness.
LINFIELD COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
All individuals (age 12 and over) entering any athletics venue must provide proof of vaccination along with photo identification. Since all Linfield faculty, staff and students have completed this task in order to be on campus this fall, the Linfield individual must simply show their current Linfield ID.
Masks must be worn by all spectators at all times. Participants, including players, coaches, support staff and media on the sidelines, must wear masks throughout the duration of all athletic events, both indoor and outdoor, and during pregame and postgame activities.
