McMINNVILLE, Ore. –
Ashley Guldager tied the team lead with her fourth goal of the season, but the Linfield women's soccer team fell 2-1 to George Fox Sunday afternoon at the Linfield University Soccer and Lacrosse Complex.
The senior defender opened the scoring in the 29
th minute, sailing a free kick over the Bruins' goalkeeper from 25 yards out. Guldager and junior forward
Laney Green lead the Wildcats with four goals apiece. Both players also have an assist on the season. Guldager has scored her four goals on just six shots, five on goal.
The Bruins tied the match just over a minute later as Maggie Phillips scored her sixth goal of the season. Maggee Hodgdon couldn't have picked a better time to score her first goal of the season as she headed in the game-winner for the Bruins in the 52
nd minute off a corner kick by Willa Evans.
George Fox outshot Linfield 17-3 with 13 shots on goal. The Wildcats finished with two shots on goal from Guldager and Green. Green led the team with two shots in 58 minutes.

Emma Mulligan played the full 90 minutes. Mulligan made a career-high 11 saves while the Bruins' Sara Thudium made one save.

Linfield dropped to 3-11-2 overall and 2-9-1 in Northwest Conference play. The 'Cats will open the week by hosting Pacific on Wednesday before playing at Puget Sound on Sunday.
LINFIELD COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
All individuals (age 12 and over) entering any athletics venue must provide proof of vaccination along with photo identification. Since all Linfield faculty, staff and students have completed this task in order to be on campus this fall, the Linfield individual must simply show their current Linfield ID.
Masks must be worn by all spectators at all times. Participants, including players, coaches, support staff and media on the sidelines, must wear masks throughout the duration of all athletic events, both indoor and outdoor, and during pregame and postgame activities.
