WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Online shopping is something I love to do when I am not playing soccer or in the library studying. I also enjoy doing CrossFit.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD? The greatest lesson that I have learned while competing in athletics at Linfield has come from our coach Julia Vaughan. She always reminds us about our "why." She asks us, "Why are you here? Why are you playing soccer?" She has taught me to reflect deeply on my "why" and reminds me every day to give myself some grace on and off the field and to enjoy life a little more. Julia inspires me every day to work hard, but also to play hard too, and I am forever grateful for all her love, support and advice. I have learned from her a different perspective, how to not be so hard on myself and how to truly enjoy all that I do in life.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career so far has been my first game back sophomore year after coming off a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus which resulted in a medical redshirt freshman year. My recovery took two years and was a difficult journey, but it was very rewarding to step foot on the field for the first time and know all my effort spent rehabbing paid off. Although I faced many obstacles, it was so fulfilling to know I accomplished something I never imagined myself having to overcome.

WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY? Organic Chemistry pushed me out of my comfort zone and forced me to find study habits and routines that worked for me. I had a lot of fun with the material. It was interesting to me and the professors made it a fun experience. We listened to music during labs and made cool organic compounds. It was a challenging but rewarding class.
