SALEM, Ore. – Tiffany Wall was the lone Linfield Wildcat to capture top honors at the Willamette Invitational on a mild and overcast Saturday at the Charles Bowles Track inside Bush's Pasture Park. The senior from North Salem High School cleared 1.58 meters (5 feet, 2¼ inches) on her first attempt and was declared the event winter by virtue of fewer misses. Thirteen Wildcats qualified for the invitation-only meet.
 
WOMEN
Mehana Sabado-Halpern achieved two top-four finishes, placing third in the triple jump with a leap of 11.18m (36-8¼) and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.10m (16-8¾).

Sara Miles and Josie Knight finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in the shot put. Miles tossed the shot 11.35m (37-3) and Knight heaved the steel ball 10.90m (35-9¼).
 
Meg Angier cleared 3.05m (10-0) to claim fourth place in the pole vault.
 
Ani Keliiheleua secured eighth place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.06 and teammate Baylie Cameron finished 16th in 17.25. Cameron returned to finish 15th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:11.14.
 
MEN
Freshman Matt Metcalf had the highest finish for the men, earning a second-place result in the javelin with a personal best of 57.60m (189-0).
 
Max Lommen cleared 1.83m (6-0) in the high jump, good for sixth place and Brian Douglas took ninth place in the long jump with a leap of 6.07m (19-11). Dallin Buck also competed in the long jump, finishing 14th with his best mark of 5.59m (18-4¼).
 
Cody Mitchell and Tyler Post both competed in the shot put with Mitchell tossing 14.05m (46-1 ¼) for ninth place and Post finishing 13th with his best toss of 13.42m (44-0½). Mitchell also competed in the discus, finishing 12th in the field with an effort of 38.97m (127-9).
 
Nick Oja-Zdroy ran a season-best in the 800m, clocking 2:00.78.

Several Linfield distance runners will head south to the San Francisco Bay Area to compete in the Mike Fanelli Track Classic on Friday.
