NEWBERG, Ore. –
Cody Mitchell,
Keaton Wood and the Linfield men's 4x100-meter relay all garnered victories for the Wildcats on a beautiful but slightly overcast spring day at the Rich Allen Classic held at the Stoffer Family Stadium on the George Fox University campus.Â

Mitchell had a personal best of 46-8¾ (14.24m) to win the shot put. Wood won the 110m hurdles in his personal best time of 15.09 and joined with
Ronan Krutzikowsky,
Tyler Sitton and
Dallin Buck on the 4 x 100m relay as they ran a season best time of 43.86.

Women
Nicole Bissey doubled on the day, taking sixth place in the 1,500m with a time of 5:13.23, then returning to finish fifth in the 800m in a time of 2:35.54.
Â
Baylie Cameron ran 17.36 in the 100m hurdles which was good for seventh place and
Jenna Mihelich ran 1:09.55 finishing eighth place in the 400m.

The Wildcats had three top-eight finishers in the 5,000m, led by
Ashley Ambrose who finished third in 19:50.23 followed by
Kelly Roth in fifth place with a time of 20:12.10 and
Kelsey Kuhns taking seventh in 20:21.57.

Mehana Sabado-Halpern had her best effort on her last attempt in the triple jump, leaping 36-2¼ (11.03m) to take second place in the event and then finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 16-11½ (5.17m).

In the pole vault,
Meg Angier finished fourth with a clearance of 9-11¾ (3.04m) as
Emma Barker cleared 9-5¾ (2.89m) to place sixth.
Â
Tiffany Wall had a huge improvement in the high jump, finishing third overall with a personal best clearance of 5-2½ (1.59m).

Josie Knight rounded out the women top-10 finishers, placing 10th in the shot put with a toss of 33-10 (10.31m).

Men
Buck stayed busy during the meet as he finished seventh in the 400m with a time of 52.10 and then returned to take 10th place in the 200m with a time of 23.37. Buck finished his day by taking seventh in the long jump with a leap of 20-1 (6.12m).
Brian Douglas worked his way into the top 10 in the long jump by taking 10th with a leap of 19-3½ (5.88m).

Nick Oja-Zdroy also grabbed a personal-best by finishing fifth in the 1,500m with a time of 4:10.67.Â

Sitton returned to take seventh in the 200m with a time of 23.29.
Â
Mitchell also had a sixth-place finish in the discus with his best toss of 130-0 (39.62m). Wood took fourth overall in the javelin with a best of 169-0 (51.52m).

Matt Metcalf had two personal bests on the day. The freshman was third in the javelin at 187-7 (57.19m) and tossed the hammer 138-8 (42.28m), good for sixth place.
Â
Krutzikowsky cleared 12-11 (3.94m) and earn fifth place in the pole vault.
Max Lommen cleared the bar at 6-1¼ (1.86m) to take ninth overall in the high jump.

Tyler Post posted a personal best in the shot put with his sixth-place effort of 42-9½ (13.04m). Teammate
Jon Sedy lept 40-8¾ (12.41m) in the triple jump for eighth place.
Next
Several Wildcats will travel to Santa Barbara, Calif., for the Westmont Multi-Events March 21-22. The remainder of the team heads to Salem on Saturday for the Willamette Invitational. The meet starts at 10 a.m. The 'Cats return to Maxwell Field April 6 for the Linfield Jenn Boyman Invitational.
