Linfield student-athletes wrapped up a successful 2025-26 academic year showcasing success not only on the field, but also in the classroom, boasting a cumulative 3.23 grade point average across all varsity athletic teams for the year.

Of 20 teams of student-athletes, 19 of which posted above a cumulative 3.0 grade point average, led largely in part by three teams who's average exceeded a 3.50. Linfield softball finished fifth in the nation at the NCAA Division III Softball National Championship, while also leading the department with a 3.69 GPA, with four Wildcats maintaining a perfect 4.0.Â

Of 523 student-athletes, 70% (366) held above a 3.0 GPA, and 23 earned a 4.0. Softball's lead was followed closely by Northwest Conference Champion women's basketball with a 3.65, and women's cross country with a 3.62 to round out the top-three teams.

On the men's side, men's cross country led the way with a 3.40, following by men's basketball (3.37), and men's swimming (3.34).Â

53 student-athletes were recognized by College Sports Communicators (CSC) as Academic All-District honorees, given to those who compete in over 90% of contests while maintaining above a 3.50 GPA. Two 'Cats were voted upon nationally as CSC's First Team Academic All-America, representing the top 1% of all Division III student-athletes nationally.Â

Linfield's success inside the classroom was paired with two NWC Championship-winning teams in women's basketball and softball, and also two individual NWC champions in
Kirsti Keppo and
Logan Roberts. Four total Wildcats earned All-American honors athletically, 12 earned all-region, meanwhile 85 student-athletes were named to All-Northwest Conference teams.Â
