CLAREMONT, Calif. --- Linfield women's lacrosse (3-6, 1-0) fell to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens (11-1) in game two of the spring break road trip to SoCal, 22-1.

The SCIAC's Sagehens got to work early on the offensive side, while the defense held the Wildcats to without a shot in the first quarter. Pomona-Pitzer scored two goals early in the quarter, tacking on four additional scores in the final seven minutes to lead 6-0 after 15 minutes.

In the first two minutes of the second, the Sagehens scored twice more, part of their six in the second quarter. Senior
Gabby Crist earned a free position attempt with 3:44 left in the half and while Linfield was a man-up. Crist slotted home the 'Cats first shot of the game, sending it to halftime, 12-1.

Pomona was consistent for a third-consecutive quarter, as their defense was lock down and their offense scored six goals, matching their totals from the first two quarters.
Heidi Schaefer took Linfield's second shot of the game late in the fourth, but could not get past the 'Hens goalkeeper. Linfield was able to maintain possession more in the fourth compared to earlier in the game, but Pomona came away with a 22-1 win.

Tenley Hodge made eight saves on 37 shots faced in the game, while Crist and
Heidi Schaefer tallied one each of the 'Cats two shots in the game.
Savannah Irwin picked up a team-high three ground balls, while she and
Grayce Miller caused a pair of turnovers.Â

The Wildcats look to rebound on Thursday in Los Angeles, California, taking on Occidental at 7 p.m.Â
