SALEM, Ore. – Willamette surged to an early lead and never looked back in a wire-to-wire 19-6 Northwest Conference victory over Linfield on Sunday afternoon at Sparks Field.
Star Pfleiger led the offense with two goals.

Madison De La Trinidad each scored on goal. Crist led the Wildcats in groundballs (5) and assists (2).
Kelsey Reinemer led the Linfield defense with three caused turnovers.
Tenley Hodge totaled 10 saves on 38 shots faced.
Claire Kisielnicki led the Bearcats with five goals while Brooklynn Pearl and Lily Bachiochi scored four goals each. Pearl scooped up five ground balls with Syd Shoemaker causing a game-high four turnovers. In goal, Olivia Austin totaled six saves. Willamette (11-3, 8-2 NWC) outshot Linfield 38-16.
The Bearcats pulled ahead in the first quarter, scoring the first four goals to take an early 4-1 lead. Willamette scored five unanswered before Linfield netted the final goal of the half. The Bearcats led 9-2 at halftime.
The Wildcats tied the Bearcats scoring output in the third quarter as both teams scored four a piece. In the fourth quarter, Willamette went on a 6-0 scoring run to punctuate the lopsided victory.
