McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield controlled the game in the first half and went toe-to-toe with Alma (Michigan), but the Scots outscored the Wildcats, 9-2, in the second half to win 15-10 on a brisk Tuesday evening at the Linfield Lacrosse and Soccer Complex.
The Wildcats took an 8-6 lead into the break.
Gabby Crist scored a game-high seven goals and dished out an assist. She fired off 10 shots, nine landing on goal. The freshman notched five of the team's first six goals. Her seven goals on the day are tied for No. 8 in the program's single-game record book.
Alma allowed just two shots by Linfield in each of the final two quarters. The Scots sent 29 shots on goal to the Wildcats' 16. They also scored nine straight goals to tie the game and run away with a five-point victory.
Kirsten Browne led the 9-0 second-half run, scoring the first four goals of the series. She finished with six goals and two assists while Sam Peterson had three goals. Ava Fredrickson led all players with five caused turnovers on the defensive end.
Linfield put 16 of its 18 shots on goal and had an 18-11 advantage in draw controls.

Erynn McCurdy were the other goal scorers for the 'Cats.
Mackenzie Kulick tallied three ground balls, three caused turnovers and eight draw controls.
Tenley Hodge started in goal and made 10 saves in 46 minutes.
Caity Babcock entered the game in the fourth quarter and came up with four more saves. Babcock has 20 saves in three appearances.
