Linfield defeated Pacific 1-0 this past Sunday on a goal by Seamus Miller in the 85th minute to move to 3-4 in the Northwest Conference. Miller leads the team with two goals. Ryan Kister and Cesar Cruz-Espindola have scored the other two goals. The Wildcats are shooting 11.1 shots per match. Logan Clizer and Shoma Okita are third on the team with eight shots each.

A win on Sunday guarantees Linfield a .500 season, its first non-losing season since 2006.

THE BEARCATS
Willamette has been the top team among the NWC schools in Oregon this spring. The Bearcats are 6-0 and allowed just two goals all season. At the other end of the field, they themselves have scored 22 goals.

Abdul Ali, Pierce Gallaway, Sean Kim and Ryan Sato have three goals each. Sato is the team's points leader with eight. Willamette has split time between its two goalkeepers all season, both playing a half in each match. Anthony Richard-Bassett has played the first half in four matches and made six saves. He has not allowed a goal. Pierluca Carnovale has made four saves and given up both goals.

This is the third meeting between the two teams this spring. Willamette won 7-0 in McMinnville and picked up a narrow 1-0 win at the Linfield Soccer and Lacrosse Complex. Looking at the all-time series record, the Wildcats lead the Bearcats, 27-24-2.
