WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I liked the enthusiasm and energy at Linfield. The sports programs and culture of the school appealed to me. I have loved all sports my entire life both as a competitor and as a fan. Having the opportunity to be a part of the soccer program at Linfield is a great honor. In addition, the campus and smaller size allow me to build relationships with new people. Linfield is exactly what I was looking for in a college/university.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means being able to challenge myself both mentally and physically. I look forward to giving my maximum effort in the classroom and on the field. A student-athlete is also someone who prepares themselves for what's ahead whether that is sleeping and eating right a week or studying, planning, organizing, in advance for a test.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? As a student-athlete, I have developed individual skills that add to the collective team effort. I try to see what the team needs and the end goal and individually do what I can to get the team there. I have a mixed set of skills and have been a leader in multiple sports so I understand how I can organize a group of individuals into a collective unit.

WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY? The best class that I have taken at Linfield was my Physics class, I really liked my professor, and my classmates were really easy to get a study group going with.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? The greatest inspiration in my life has been my mother because she works her hardest and puts her family first like. She is very organized and knows how to prioritize spending time with family and work.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… I learned at Linfield to organize my time for athletics, social, and academics. Something that was very challenging for me in my freshman year.

AS A LINFIELD-STUDENT ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE… For me individually I want to grow to my greatest potential as a playmaker, and goal scorer on the team. I also want to be an offensive threat to any level team we play against. For my team, I want to have a successful season as well as play as a collective rather than individual players.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is civil engineering. I hope to get a good foundation the creates the most future opportunity. I look forward to the classes in math and sciences that directly relate to my future career and those that will challenge me to be a more rounded thinker and problem solver.
