Gillyan Landis dropped a game-high 20 points, but the Linfield women's basketball team fell 75-55 to Chapman Saturday night at Hutton Sports Center.
The freshman forward played 30 minutes, connecting on 9 of 12 from the field, 1 of 3 from three-point range and 1 of 2 from the free throw line. She also totaled five rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
The Wildcats shot 40.4 percent from the field, 26.3 percent from long range and 72.7 percent from the charity stripe. The Panthers limited the 'Cats to 11 points in the second quarter and nine points in the fourth.

Chapman scored 38 points in the paint and 31 points off of 28 Wildcat turnovers. Four Panthers scored in double digits, led by Brittany McPherson's 19 on 8 of 11 shooting from the field and 3 of 5 from the free throw line. She also tallied four rebounds, five assists and five steals. Orel Shilon scored 11 points with four rebounds, two assists and a steal while Madison Shigeta and Kylee Ishibashi finished with 10 points apiece.

Linfield dropped to 0-3 on the season with the loss. The 'Cats will wrap up their California road trip at Occidental on Monday and at Cal Tech on Tuesday.
