WHY LINFIELD? I came to Linfield to play basketball, but also to get an education. I wanted to study exercise science and be involved in a small college!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? It means getting things done in the classroom, on the court, and in the community! student-athletes are accountable and loyal and demonstrate what it means to be a leader.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I want to be a pediatric occupational therapist and so Linfield is giving not just the prerequisites for graduate school, but also a better understand of a well-rounded education.
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? Kinesiology has been my favorite class at Linfield because we learned so much on the science of human movement, not to mention the incorporation of interactive labs that allowed us to explore certain principles and theories.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? At Linfield, Coach Casey has been my biggest inspiration. Being her work study for the last three years, I have watched her deal with problems and easily solve them with her coworkers. She not only has pushed us to be the best athletes we can be, but the best women we can be as well. She is one of the most understanding and genuine people I know.
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Reading or playing Spikeball.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…Effort, attitude, and toughness are tools you need to be successful. This is everything you can control to make every experience how you want. You get to choose.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... My goals for the team are to get back to the conference tournament and for all of our new teammates to grow into the foundations of our program of effort, attitude, and toughness. A person goal is to enjoy my last year ever competing in the sport I love.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career has been being able to play my favorite sport for a phenomenal coaching staff and with the best teammates I could ask for.
