PERSONAL INFORMATION
Majoring in psychology.
Born in Guatemala.

WHY LINFIELD? I chose to come to Linfield because of the feeling of the campus and the academics.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHELTE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? It means having the opportunity to be a part of the athletics community as well as the Linfield community as a whole. I get the chance to show what it is I love to do, and while doing that I get to do it in an environment where I am supported 24/7 by my professors, team, coaches and staff here at Linfield.

WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY? Gender Issues and sports because it brought awareness to not only gender as a whole but the history of sports and how those two aspects impact us as female athletes.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Participating in sports has made me a better person because it has allowed me to build connections with others I wouldn't normally talk to everyday and it has taught me how to be a leader on and off the court. I have gained better communication and patience.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My greatest inspiration is my mom because she’s done it all. She raised her five daughters and gave us opportunities to attend good schools and get good educations. She’s achieved her goals at work as well as in life in general, and she continues to succeed in my eyes. She encourages me to want to do better and push myself, whether it’s in sports, academics or my social life. She’s my rock.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... Being humble to myself. I need to be honest about who I am in the game and know my role and who I want to be to others.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... I want to be able to uplift my team. I want to be the hype beast on the team who can pull us out of a hole if we ever get into one. I want to create the energy that we may sometimes miss. Collectively, I just want us to be one. I want us to rely on each other without question that someone else will be there for us. We have already started to build that confidence in one another, so I’m excited to see it through the rest of the season.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? I honestly don't know where I see myself in 10 years but I hope that wherever I end up I continue to gain new insights through others around me and be able to strive to higher possibilities.
