Olivia McDaniel and
Keaton Wood are set to represent Linfield College at the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which begin Thursday and continue through Saturday at the Spire Institute sports complex in Geneva, Ohio.

McDaniel is the reigning Division III indoor champion in the women's pole vault. She leads the list of official entries with a mark of 13 feet, 1½ inches (4.0 meters), which she set April 6 at the Pacific Luau Invitational. The senior from Scappoose is making her third consecutive national outdoor championship appearance. McDaniel owns the second-best mark in Linfield history, trailing only the effort of 13-11¼ (4.25m) set by current record holder Catherine Street.

Wood returns for his second national championship event and will compete in the decathlon. His 6,612 point total is seventh-highest among Division III athletes entering the 10-event competition.

With his two-day effort set in March, the junior from Lake Oswego ranks eighth all-time on Linfield's top-10 list . Since then, Wood has compiled five new personal bests in decathlon-related events.

The final in the women's pole vault is scheduled for Thursday starting at noon EDT (9 a.m. PDT). The first day of the decathlon is also slated to begin Thursday, starting with the 100-meter dash at 10:30 a.m. EDT (7:30 a.m. PDT) and concluding approximately at 3:40 p.m. EDT (12:40 PDT) with the 400m.Â

Friday's second day of decathlon competition starts with the 110m hurdles at 10 a.m EDT (7 a.m. PDT) and concludes with the 1,500m run at approximately 4:30 p.m. EDT (1:30 PDT).Â
