USTFCCCA tabs Linfield men's & women's track & field teams with academic awards

| By:
NEW ORLEANS, La. --- United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their annual academic awards for the 2024-25 season, as both Wildcat track and field teams notched the honor. A pair from the women's team, and one men's athlete earned the honor from the national organization.

To earn the team award, each program must maintain a cumulative grade point average at or above 3.10. Men's track & field combined for a 3.26 GPA, one of six Northwest Conference teams to do so. The women's team finished the season with a 3.51 GPA, and were also one of the six NWC schools to be named All-Academic.

Kira Hawaaboo (Sprints, Jumps, Heptathlon) and Analissa Paresa (Pole Vault), both exercise science majors, highlighted the All-Academic Athletes list for the Wildcats. An award given out to athletes with a 3.30 grade point average or higher, while also finishing the season among the top 50 individuals in their event(s) on TFRRS.

Computer science and physics major, Nick Olsen (Throws), was the lone Wildcat men's track & field athlete to earn the distinguished honor.
