FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Linfield men scored 98 points to earn second place while the women scored 73.5 points to finish in fourth place at the Pacific Invitational held on a cool Saturday at Hanson Stadium.

The host Boxers won the women's competition with 140.5 points followed by Northwest Christian with 131, George Fox 130 and Linfield with 73.5. George Fox won the men's portion of the meet with 142 points followed by Linfield with 98 points. Northwest Christian finished with 91 points while host Pacific finished fourth with 78.
Women
Courtney Beard was the lone event winner for the women, taking first in the 5,000 meters in a time of 18:10.47. Beard ran the 1,500m earlier in the day, finishing fourth in 4:52.01. Teammate
Nicole Bissey finished seventh in 5:02.26.

Juliet Arnswald crossed the finish line in seventh place in the 400m (1:06.67) and fellow Wildcat
Jenna Mihelich finished two places behind in ninth with a time of 1:11.35.

Anne Ferguson finished in eighth in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:37.08.
Baylie Cameron grabbed third place in the 400m hurdles in 1:08.05.Â

The 4x100m relay, comprised of Cameron, Arnswald, Mihelich and
Meg Angier, clocked 54.64 to claim third place. Angier took second in the pole vault with a clearance of 10-5½ (3.19m).

Mehana Sabado-Halpern was third in the long jump (16-4¼, 4.98m) and fourth in the triple jump (35-1¾, 10.71m).
Tiffany Wall picked up a third-place finish in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-11 (1.50m).

A trio of Wildcats finished among the top eight in the shot put.
Sara Miles finished sixth with a toss of 34-3 feet (10.44m) while
Molly Danielson and
Josie Knight tied for seventh with best efforts of 33-10¾ (10.33m). Miles also captured eighth in both the discus 101-3 (30.87m) and javelin 108-7 (33.10m).

Men
Keaton Wood was again a workhorse for the Wildcats, taking first place in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.50. Wood also finished third in the long jump (21-0¾, 6.42m) and sixth in the pole vault (11-5¼, 3.49m).Â

Dallin Buck and
Mesepa Short to collect third place in the 4x100m relay with a time of 44.25.
The other victories of the day came with the quartet of Wood, Buck, Sitton and
Ronan Krutzikowsky, who combined to win the 4x400m relay in a time of 3:27.87.
Matt Metcalf prevailed in the javelin with a winning toss of 185-0 (56.39m).
Metcalf also finished seventh in the hammer with a best of 124-2 (37.86m) while
Marquis Perrilliat took 10th in the javelin with a mark of 131-9 (40.17m).
Sitton had the 10th-fastest time in the 100m, running 11.73, then returned to place fifth in the 200m in 23.34. Buck also scored in the 200m with his eighth-place time of 23.55. The former Linfield baseball player also placed second in the long jump (21-8, 6.60m) and third in the 400m (52.05).
Krutzikowsky picked up a third-place result in the 400 hurdles (58.94) while
Max Lommen pocketed second in the high jump in 5-9¼ (1.76m).
Brian Douglas finished fifth in the 400m (54.35) and ninth in the long jump with a leap of 20-1 (6.12m).
Cody Mitchell reached 42-4¼ (12.91m) in the shot put, good for fifth place.
Tyler Post finished seventh in the same event in 41-7 ¾ (12.69m). Both throwers placed in the discus with Mitchell finishing third (137-4, 41.85m) and Post seventh (115-8, 35.26m).
Next
The Wildcats travel to Newberg on Saturday to compete in the George Fox Invitational. The meet begins at 10 a.m. Later, the 'Cats return to Maxwell Field on April 6 for the Linfield Jenn Boyman Invitational.
