WALLA WALLA, Ore. – The Linfield men's soccer team competed in their final non-conference game of the season as they traveled to Walla Walla Sunday afternoon. Walla Walla got on the board first, but it would be all Linfield for the rest of the match.
Walla Walla scored early in the match as Smith crossed from the right side of the field to the center and sent the ball into the back of the net. The Wildcats would tie it up in the 24
th minute when
Shoma Okita took a corner kick and Gerardo Perez jumped up and headed the ball past the Wolves keeper. Linfield took the lead in the 25
th minute as
Henry Rosenfeld set up Cesar Cruz.
The 'Cats continued their momentum into the second half as
Dayton Farrow scored in the 47
th minute on a header that
Ronan Krutzikowsky threw in from the right sideline. In the 63
rd minute
Ronan Krutzikowsky picked up a goal of his own as he buried one into the left side of the goal to extend the Wildcats lead 4-1.
Linfield picked up the final goal of the match in the 77
th minute as
Connor Heintz connected with Gerado Perez. Perez took the ball from the right side to center field and sent the ball into the back of the net.
Linfield out shot Walla Walla 29 -5 and 13 -2 with shots on goal.
Cameron Perron picked up his first win of the season and collected one save.
