PORTLAND, Ore. – Two freshmen accounted for all the scoring Sunday as the Linfield Wildcats defeated the Lewis & Clark Pioneers 3-0 in a Northwest Conference women's soccer match at Griswold Stadium.
Desirae DesRosiers came off the bench to score two first-half goals and
Michayla Sponsel added another in the 63rd minute to help Linfield halt a brief two-match losing streak.
Linfield outshot L&C 8-6, including a 5-3 edge in the first half.
Wildcats goalkeeper
Madi Reimer was called on to make two saves.
The Wildcats upped their record to 7-8-1 overall, 5-6-1 in the NWC.
