WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Women's soccer (2-1-1) completed their non-conference slate on the road in a neutral site matchup with the Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers, settling for a scoreless draw.
Linfield controlled much of the first half, generating eight shots and eight corner kicks while holding the Pointers to three attempts. The Wildcats finished the match with a 14-9 advantage in shots and put five attempts on goal.
Three of the Wildcat's eight shots came inside the first eight minutes of the match, one from
Fia Swanson and a pair from
Julia Alvarez.
Alvarez led the Linfield attack with three shots, while
Lena Caballero Uhtoff,
Sophia Leiber and
Sofia Pietrok each attempted two. Caballero Uhtoff, Alvarez, Leiber,
Lize Rendon and Pietrok each put a shot on target.

Steve Simmons solidify his startling lineup heading into conference play next weekend.
Maddie Funk and the Wildcats' defense kept the opposition off the scoreboard throughout the 90 minutes. Funk made all three of her saves in the second half to secure her second shutout of the season in her second start of the season.
