CORVALLIS, Ore. –
Hudson Holzhauer climbed to No. 5 on Linfield's all-time top-10 outdoor list in the men's hammer and moved within four feet, two inches of equaling the school record of 178-5 set by Doug Dean in 1988, highlighting two days of results Friday and Saturday at the PNW Invite, hosted by Oregon State University.

MEN
Holzhauer, who set the Linfield indoor hammer record earlier this spring, tossed the ball and chain a personal-best 174-3 to place fifth in a field of 30 entries.

In other throwing events,
Shyson Cachuela placed ninth in the discus with a toss of 139-7. Cachuela was also 11th in the shot put with a mark of 46-6¾.
Kiyan Vrell placed 15th in the javelin with a mark of 167-2.

In the sprints,
Liam Christensen blazed to a 10.96 showing on his way to placing 11th among 72 competitors in the 100. The Linfield junior also placed 15th among 71 entries in the 200, clocking 22.03 seconds.
Luke Niemi was 35th with a season-best mark of 22.78.

Tyson Morris soared 13-3 in the pole vault to place ninth.

WOMEN
Natasha Freimuth ran a season-best time of 1:09.14 in the 400-meter hurdles race to place eighth and
Lauren Klopcic recorded a personal best of 1:10.17 to finish ninth overall. Freimuth added a 17th-place result in the 100 hurdles race, posting a season-best time of 16.69.

Paige Kasso turned in a season-best time of 12.95 to finish 27th in the 100 and ran a season-best 26.33 in the 200 to place 30th among 53 challengers.

Anna Niyongabire went 33-4½ in the triple jump to claim 13th place and
Sage Cramp reached a height of 10-11¾ to take sixth place in the pole vault.

Savannah Filios finished 14th in the hammer with a mark of 127 feet, 2 inches and finished 20th in the discus (114-6).
Sophie Hulke was 16th in the hammer (123-11) and 27th in the discus (106-10).

Highlighting the distance events,
Jayden Taylor ran a personal-best time of 18:57.04 in the 5,000 run, placing 20th.

Durham Huson and heptathlete
Isabella Grutsch are scheduled to complete Monday and Tuesday at the Pacific Multi-Events competition at Hansen Stadium in Forest Grove. First events both days are set to start at 10 a.m.

The full team is slated to compete later in the week in Forest Grove when the Wildcats participate in the Pacific Open Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
