WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
I chose Linfield because of their track & field program, and because the school had an optimal student to teacher ratio with a great community.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
It means a lot to me, a lot of students here at Linfield do a sport too which has created a greater sense of community for me.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Participating in sports has allowed me to keep my grades up so that I am able to compete.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
I see myself having a good paying job and possibly competing at the Olympics.

WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY?
One of my favorite classes I’ve taken at Linfield so far has been my Introduction to Religion course. It not only deepened my understanding of my own faith and beliefs but also helped me appreciate the traditions and perspectives of other religions. My professor, Jenn, made the class entertaining by connecting our lessons to popular movies and TV shows, which made the material easier to understand and overall, more fun.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My greatest inspiration in life is my mom. Without her, I wouldn’t be where I am today. She consistently pushes me to do my best and is always my number one supporter. No matter the weather or the circumstances, I know I can count on her to be there for me.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…
The most important principle I’ve learned during my time at Linfield, one that really guides me in competition is this: “You compete for an audience of one, and that audience is God.” To me, this means that whether I perform poorly or have an amazing day in my event, God’s love for me never changes. The outcome doesn’t define my worth, and that mindset helps me stay grounded and focused.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE…
As a student-athlete, my individual goal is to get better at my sport each day, whether that’s by 1% or 100%. I also strive to be someone my teammates can look up to and feel comfortable coming to for help. For the track and field team, my goal is to help build a culture where everyone feels safe, motivated, and valued. A place they can call a home away from home, just like it has been for me.
