WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
Linfield has the major I want to study and a good track team.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
I get to do the sport I love while representing my school.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Sports have taught me to be more organized with my time.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
I hope I’m doing fulfilling work in a place I love.
WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY?
The best class I’ve taken at Linfield has been ARTS 480-05 – Independent Study in AI Tools in Design with Professor Winkenweder. It pushed me to grow creatively in ways I didn’t expect. I explored environmental storytelling, AI-assisted illustration, and new digital tools that helped me refine my artistic voice. The class was hands-on, self-directed, and allowed me to design a project that blended my passions for nature, design, and technology. Having the freedom to create my own artistic direction while still receiving feedback made it one of the most meaningful learning experiences I’ve had at Linfield.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My greatest inspiration has been my mom. She went to school for design, and growing up around her creativity had a huge influence on the way I approach my own artistic path. She showed me what dedication really looks like: showing up every day, putting in the effort, and caring deeply about what you create. She encouraged my creativity from a young age, whether it was drawing, photography, or making little projects together. Watching her balance imagination with hard work taught me to stay open to learning, take pride in my craft, and not be afraid of challenging or ambitious projects. Her passion for design helped shape my decision to pursue digital art, and she continues to inspire me to grow as both an artist and a person.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN...
The greatest lesson I’ve learned in athletics at Linfield is that consistency matters more than perfection. I’ve realized that showing up, even on the hard days, is what leads to real growth. I’ve also learned how important it is to trust the process, lean on your teammates, and stay patient with yourself. Athletics has taught me to balance discipline with compassion for my own limits, and that mindset has carried into my academics, art, and everyday life.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE...
Individually, my goal is to keep improving both physically and mentally — to push myself in workouts, stay healthy, and become a more confident competitor. I want to contribute to the team not just with times and performances, but with positive energy, support, and reliability.
Collectively, I want our team to continue building a culture where everyone feels included, motivated, and proud of their progress. I hope we can lift each other at meets, celebrate each person’s accomplishments, and keep growing stronger as a unit. My goal is for us to create an environment where everyone feels valued and where our hard work shows in our performance and team spirit.
