This week, Linfield women's golf makes their fall season debut, while men's and women's soccer join volleyball as Wildcat teams returning to action after a weekend off. Women's tennis completes their Fall schedule at the ITA West Fall Championships just north in Newberg, Oregon.
Last weekend saw Linfield football return to action on Maxwell Field inside the CatDome, taking home their first win of the season in a 28-13 win over Chapman. Men's and women's tennis each competed in their respective ITA tournaments, as the women prepped for the upcoming tournament and then men's team made strides in the finale of their fall schedule spent in Newberg. Each cross country team saw individual performances at the Pacific Lutheran Invitational in Tacoma, led by Mya Budzik and Marco Stroman. Douglas Bailey carded a top-20 finish for Linfield men's golf, who travelled to St. Cloud, Minnesota, earning 12
th as a team in a loaded field at the Saint John's Invitational.
VOLLEYBALL
The 'Cats (3-3, 1-0 NWC) opened Northwest Conference play last Tuesday, earning a second-straight sweep in straight sets over Pacific in Forest Grove. The team returns to the court this weekend, set to make their home debut against undefeated Whitworth and Whitman. The team relies heavily on two-time NWC Defensive Player of the Week, libero
Naia Alefaio-Foifua, and junior
Nora Myre, to keep their two-match win streak alive. Myre sits atop the conference for kills per set with (3.41), points per set (3.86), and Alefaio-Foifua remains the top libero in the conference statistically with 4.27 digs per set.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
Women's tennis gained early season experience for a roster that features four freshman and no seniors at the Pre-ITA jamboree in Forest Grove, Oregon. The "blind doubles" format paired two 'Cats for doubles matches, followed by each competing in a head-to-head singles match following. Linfield now rounds out the Fall schedule this weekend in Newberg, Oregon, set to test their skills against fellow NWC foes and others from the West region at the ITA Fall Championships.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Linfield women's soccer (4-0-2, 2-0 NWC) returns to the pitch after a week of rest, entering their third and fourth games of Northwest Conference action remaining unbeaten. The 'Cats enter the homestand on a four-match winning streak, kicking off a stretch that features eight matches in 18 days. Early in the conference season,
Lize Rendon ranks second in the NWC in goals with four, while
Mia Curtaz and
Amalia Tufts are tied at the top of the ranks in assists with three. Goalkeeper
Alexa Fritz enters the week tied for the most shutouts in the conference with three through six matches. Linfield aims to shut down the leading goal scorer in the conference in Bailey Bell, who's notched six goals and 12 points in six matches thus far.

MEN'S SOCCER
Linfield men's soccer (0-6-0, 0-2-0 NWC) is set to face two of the top-four teams in the NWC standings this weekend at home, aiming to claim their first win of the season on their home pitch. In the first week of NWC action,
Oliver Blanchard notched the 'Cats second goal of the season against Pacific, and the first of his collegiate career. Linfield's matches at Pacific and Willamette were each settled by just one goal, with the Wildcats leading the Bearcats through the first 45-minutes of the match.

Addison Nations, and
Kariss Whitford will see their first tee shots as collegiate golfers.
Kariss Whitford led the 'Cats in the first action of 2025-26, earning 14
th with rounds of 80 and 91.
