Wildcat Weekly: November 26, 2025

Thanksgiving is here, and the Wildcat's are still in action this holiday weekend. Men's hoops will spend the holiday in Southern California, women's wrestling heads to Olympia, Washington, to take on Evergreen State in a dual, and women's hoops sees their first Northwest Conference action on Sunday at Pacific. 
 
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Linfield men's basketball (1-3) remains in the greater Los Angeles metro area for the holiday week, having faced the La Verne Leopards on Wednesday evening. This weekend, the Wildcats compete in Claremont, California, taking on two more teams from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer host Linfield on Friday and Saturday, both games are set to tip at 5 p.m. Through four games this season, senior guard Dayton Magaña has led the Wildcats offensively, scoring 24-points in two games.

WOMEN'S WRESTLING
Linfield women's wrestling continues their streak of events, following up last weekend's Spokane Invitational, where three 'Cats earned wins in the tournament. Cadence Fineran and Cassidy Jones-Mowen grabbed two of those wins last weekend, and aim to bring the momentum into the upcoming dual with the Evergreen State Geoducks this Saturday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Linfield women's basketball (3-1) returned from a successful trip to Texas, going 2-1 at the Thanksgiving Classic, hosted by East Texas Baptist University. The lone Wildcat loss came to the No. 21-ranked ETBU Tigers on their home court to end the road trip. Now, Linfield looks ahead to their first conference test on Sunday, taking on the Pacific Boxers on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Forest Grove, Oregon. Amelia Solt, Tana Hoekema, and Allie Mead have provided the offense early in the season, each averaging double-digit points scored.
