Linfield baseball head coach
Jordan Harlow named two additions to the Wildcat coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season.
Bryn Card and Matthew Fishback join Harlow in his first season at the helm of the program, bringing a wealth of leadership experience on and off of the baseball diamond.
Bryn Card comes to McMinnville with over 15 years of coaching experience at the high school level, most notably at Wilsonville High School, where he's spent the past ten seasons as the head coach. Card accrued a record of 179-87 during his tenure, totaling three league titles and was a two-time Coach of the Year award winner. As a head coach, he led the Wilsonville Wildcats to become a prominent 5A program in Oregon, hosting multiple state semifinal runs. His high school experience worked hand-in-hand with six years of coaching at the prep level, with Prep Baseball Oregon. Card is known for his dedication to player development and building a strong team culture, his focus is shaping student-athletes to become successful on and off the field.
Bryn Card spends his time away from the diamond teaching special education at Wilsonville High School, and spending time with his wife, Kelsey, and his children, Delaney and Maddux. A graduate of Henley High School, Card spent five seasons playing at the Division I level with Oregon State and Utah, winning a pair of national championships with the Beavers and three Mountain West titles with the Utes.
"Bryn is a huge addition to our coaching staff." said Linfield baseball head coach
Jordan Harlow. "He brings over a decade of prior head coaching experience at one of the top prep programs in Oregon, and adds experience as a starting pitcher in the PAC-10 during his own playing career. He is a true teacher of the game, and I couldn't be more excited to have him on board."
Matt Fishback brings a unique blend of leadership, player development, and team-building experience to the Linfield baseball program. Fishback has gathered years of experience due to his involvement in collegiate, high school, and youth player development. A large focus of his leadership is developing student-athletes on and off of the field. A former Wildcat, Fishback understands the discipline, preparation, and resilience required to compete at a high level. His experience coaching at all levels of the sport has helped him develop a teaching style that emphasizes fundamentals, situational awareness, and mental toughness. Off of the field, he has built a successful career in the technology sector, where he specializes in strategy development, leadership, and building high-performing teams. These experiences translate directly into his passion of coaching student-athletes the intangibles and life beyond the game.
"Matt is a Wildcat alumnus and brings a level of coaching experience to our staff that is really valuable. With his experience, he can assist our team in a wide variety of areas, and will be particularly vital in helping coach our hitters and infielders this season." said Harlow.

Coming off of a 24-18 season, and a 13-11 record in Northwest Conference play, the 'Cats aim for a return to the NWC postseason tournament in consecutive seasons for the first time since an 11-year run of top-four finishes from 2007 through 2018.
