Linfield began their two-game east coast trip on Saturday, taking on Bridgewater College out of Bridgewater, Virginia. The Wildcats struggled to find their footing in the match, losing 6-1.
Linfield's offense failed to net a goal in 90 minutes, with their only goal coming at the foot of a Bridgewater defender.
Cameron Gaines led the attack with two shots while
E.J. Sablan,
Ryan Hutchison,
Cade Alaniz and
Tate Bliss added one shot each.
Defensively,
Jacob Toves played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded five saves.
Bridgewater saw contributions all over the field with six different players scoring goals and goalkeeper Charles Schweinefuss finishing with two saves in 84 minutes played.
