PORTLAND, Ore. - Linfield traveled to Portland on Wednesday night to face Warner Pacific for the first time since 2021. The Wildcats put up a solid performance, beating the Knights in straight sets.
Friday's win marks Linfield's second straight victory over Warner Pacific and fifth all-time for a 5-1 series lead.
Graduate senior
Marina Erosa led the offensive attack for the Wildcats with nine kills.
Nora Myre completed the match with six kills and
Journey DePonte added another four.
Kaitlyn Hough and
Araeya Watanabe impressed from the back line, each recording three aces.
Madison Millard put together a solid all-around performance with four blocks and an impressive .667 hitting percentage.
The Wildcats' defensive efforts came by committee as
Bella Rodriguez,
Kanoe Contreras and
Pi'ilani Hirahara each finished with six digs. Contreras added 13 assists as well.
The Knights were led by Tayah-Anne Toa with seven kills to go along with four digs.
