WHY LINFIELD?
I wanted to pursue my higher education at a university where academics is prioritized. I never thought I would be able to find a school that would allow me to do that as well as balance my sport. Just when I thought I would have to give up volleyball, Linfield found me. From my first contact with the staff I felt and knew this was the right school!

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a student-athlete at Linfield means that mean that you are officially a double-agent. While working diligently as a student, you are also training vigorously to become a better player. Student by day, athlete at night.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Volleyball has helped me to gain more perspective. It’s not always about what one person thinks is best but about how to find common ground in diverse situations. It has taught me to be more open with myself and others. There are times when I put aside differences to come up with solutions that work for everyone. For me, one of the best things I gained was how to be an effective leader without being a boss. Any success from one member of the team is a success for all.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
Hopefully not living with my parents still.

WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY?
Intro to Psychology. Dr. Ray was very personable and loved teaching the subject which made you want to be engaged in class.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My siblings because every day they show me unconditional love and support.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…
It doesn’t matter where you come from, what your height is, or how small you are. What matters is how hard you’re going to work.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE…
To make it to the top together, whether it’s on or off the court.
