NEWBERG, Ore. - In its final match before Northwest Conference play begins, Linfield fell to George Fox 3-1 on Friday night at the Wheeler Sports Center. While the Wildcats and Bruins typically face off in NWC showdowns, Friday night's match between the two schools will not count toward conference records.
Linfield was led by sophomore
Nora Myre, recording 12 kills to go along with 14 digs and playing in all four sets.
Marina Erosa contributed six kills and
Araeya Watanabe added another five.
The Wildcats saw success from the service line with
Paige Pa'aluhi and
Paige Richards finishing with three service aces each.
Kanoe Contreras and
Malia Haynes played in all four sets for Linfield. Contreras had 10 kills while Haynes recorded eight.
George Fox's Gracie Bearden led the bruins with 15 kills, 13 digs and two service aces.

Linfield looks forward to NWC play beginning on Tuesday when the Wildcats travel to Forest Grove to take on Pacific.
