Linfield entered Friday's match hungry for its first Northwest Conference victory of the season. The Wildcats fought to keep the match against Pacific Lutheran competitive at Olson Gymnasium but ultimately were outpaced and lost 3-0.
The match proved to be much closer than the final score may show as the first set went back and forth before the Lutes pulled away 25-21.
The second set was another battle where Linfield fought back from a six point deficit to tie the set at 23. Pacific Lutheran rallied for two straight points to win the set.
Pacific Lutheran made some late-match adjustments and ran away with the third set 25-17.
Linfield saw even distribution offensively as
Nora Myre finished with seven kills,
Katelyn Mawdsley with six,
Marina Erosa with four and both
Araeya Watanabe and
Journey DePonte recording three.

Paige Richards set the standard on defense with 13 digs.
Paige Pa'aluhi added eight of Linfield's 45 total digs.
Pacific Lutheran was led by Claire Hindman who tallied 11 kills while teammate Kailee Efros-Bohn notched 10 of her own.

Linfield wraps up the five-game road trip with a matchup against Puget Sound on Saturday at 6 p.m. Linfield lost both matches against the Loggers last season.
